A driver for one of the other Saruni camps.  He helped to push start our jeep when the battery died.

A pack of jackals, all hungry, fighting over the carcass

Hyaenas came to join in eating the carcass.  We could actually hear the bones crunching as the hyaenas bit into the bones.  The jackals did not challenge the hyaenas.

There are three types of giraffe in Keya: reticulated, common and maasai

This is the same leopard seen earlier, after it had caught a monkey.

This elephant came right up to the jeep, within 2 feet. close enough for us to touch

Leopards like to climb trees, this one was just coming down after dragging its kill up there

The leopard spent a lot of time hiding in the grass, there was probably 20 jeeps in very close proximity all trying to get a look at the leopard.

After coming down out of the tree, the leopard went to hide in the grass

This unknown animal was dragged up into the tree by the leopard.

Well, the male was not successful, but certainly determined and tried many times!

This one has a few hitch hikers

I'm sure it looked like there was a smile on the zebra's face afterwards.

I'll leave it to your imagination what she is thinking
